Unit learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
- Describe the fundamental concepts and principles of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry
- Explain key BIM processes, terminologies, and standards used in the planning, design, and construction of building and infrastructure projects
- Develop and manage BIM models using industry-standard BIM tools
- Describe the roles and responsibilities for BIM implementation and management in construction projects.
- Discuss the challenges and opportunities of BIM adoption within construction industry practices and workflows
